One Church. Two Campuses.

Lakes Area Vineyard Church is one church with two campuses: Detroit Lakes and Park Rapids. We're a community of people from all walks of life seeking to know Jesus and figure out what it means to follow Him. For us, that looks like celebrating God in worship, engaging in community and relationship with each other, and giving God’s love away by serving one another in and outside of our church walls!  No matter where you’re at or where you’ve been, there’s a place for you here.

If you’re looking for a church to call home, we’d love for you to come visit! Guests are always welcome and we love seeing our family grow.

We’re a come-as-you-are community, so no need to dress up for us. Just come ready to encounter God through fun and Holy Spirit-filled worship, an engaging and practical sermon with strong biblical foundation, and the tastiest (free!) cup of coffee you've had all week.

Got kids? Great! Allow us to lighten your load for a morning by providing them with their own Sunday experience. We've got an amazing team of people at Vineyard Kids who cater their activities to all ages. Your little ones will play creative games, worship under our infamous disco lights, and hear stories from hilarious puppets that they’ll be excited to tell you about! The best part? You get to sit back, relax, eat a treat and be fully present in the main service knowing your kids are well taken care of. We also provide a nursing mothers’ room by our nursery for your convenience.

We're on a mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ. We do this by experiencing God, growing in love, and giving it away.

We like to think of ourselves as a team. Team Vineyard is bunch of different people from different walks of life who’ve committed to the same goal of discipleship.

Membership here is self-identifying, so there's no formal process. If you are intentionally Experiencing God, Growing in Love for God and others, and Giving God's Love Away, you're on Team Vineyard!

Sunday services are a special time for so many reasons. We come in expectation to encounter the living God as a body of believers through worship, teaching, fellowship, and prayer. Members of Team Vineyard value the significance of gathering together on Sundays and have committed to doing so regularly.

Gathering regularly with other believers becomes a refining process whereby we help each other, pray for each other and encourage each other to want to follow Christ more wholeheartedly. It is a truly beautiful thing.

We view groups as the primary source of care and connection within the church.

Our hope and prayer is that a small group would not just be another weekly commitment to add to your calendar, but that it would be a place where you encounter God in amazing ways through the fellowship of believers. We offer a variety of groups with different focuses so that you have options for whatever season of life you’re in.

Small Groups

Adult Study of Ephesians
Gary & Robin Garza

When: Thursdays from 6-8pm

Where: Detroit Lakes

What: In Ephesians, throughout its worship, prayers and instructions for living, Paul can’t contain his joy and amazement at the larger story of God’s plan to save us in Jesus the Messiah. These eleven studies from Tom Wright will help us see the significance of our role in God’s grand narrative, and encourage us to live more fully as people who are lavishly loved by God. Join the Garza’s in encouraging one another to walk as fruitful followers of Christ by serving in love, unity, wisdom and perseverance during times of spiritual warfare.

Adult Study of James
Kevin & Janna Ballard

When: Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30pm

Where: Pelican Rapids

What: Every generation in the church worries, rightly, about people who just glide along, seeming to enjoy what they hear in church but without it making and real difference. James faced exactly the same problem in the very first generation. So it’s not surprising that translating belief into action-making sure faith is the real thing-is near the heart of his message. That kind of faith, he explains, is the faith that matters, the faith that justifies, the faith that saves. We need that kind of faith today. These nine studies on James’s passionate letter help us live out a faith that makes a difference. Join the Ballard’s in learning about faith, wisdom and encouraging each other no matter where we are on this walk of faith.

Adult Study of James
Joe Swenson

When: Tuesdays from 7:00-8:30pm
