SMALL GROUPS

We view small groups as the primary source of care and connection within the church. Our hope and prayer is that a small group would not just be another weekly commitment to add to your calendar, but that it would be a place where you encounter God in amazing ways through the fellowship of believers. We offer a variety of groups with different focuses so that you have options for whatever season of life you’re in.

The types of Small Groups offered are:

Study-based: groups focused on community through engaging in the Word, worship and prayer

Activity-based: groups focused on friendship through fellowship and a common interest

Outreach-based: groups focused on mission through service together

The Gratitude Jar
Julie Raykovich & Ann Schiller

The Gratitude Jar is a book that has come to light when the world deeply needs to read its message. The story itself is a heartwarming, inspirational tale of spiritual transformation and self-discovery, but it is also a guidebook with the power to instantly release the negative belief systems no longer serving you....and to direct your steps with new energy onto the path of joy and personal freedom.

Nourish your soul and restore your faith in the goodness of the world as you begin to use its simple truths within your daily life. The time is right to hear its message, and to accept the invitation that awaits inside its pages to a joyful and inspiring new life.

After reading the book, we will create Gratitude Jars and share some of the things we have added to them.

"The Gratitude Jar" by Josie Robinson can be purchased at the reduced rate of $10, from Ann Schiller.

NT Wright study on james
Wally & rita osgood

Every generation in the church worries, rightly, about people who just glide along, seeming to enjoy what they hear in church but without it making any real difference. James faced exactly the same problem in the very first generation. So it's not surprising that translating belief into action--making sure faith is the real thing--is near the heart of his message. That kind of faith, he explains, is the faith that matters, the faith that justifies, the faith that saves. We need that kind of faith today. These nine studies on James's passionate letter will help you live out a faith that makes a difference.

having a mary heart in a martha world
Cindy schultz

"The life of a woman today isn't really all that different from that of Mary and Martha in the New Testament. Like Mary, you long to sit at the Lord's feet... but the daily demands of a busy world just won't leave you alone. Like Martha, you love Jesus and really want to serve him... yet you struggle with weariness, resentment, and feelings of inadequacy. We want to worship like Mary but the Martha inside keeps bossing us around. Then comes Jesus, right into the midst of your busy Mary/Martha life-and he extends the same invitation he issued long ago to the two sisters of Bethany. Tenderly he invites you to choose "the better part"-a joyful life of "living-room" intimacy with him that flows naturally into "kitchen service" for him."

ten practices to unclutter your soul
Tracy borash

Exhausted. Overwhelmed. Overscheduled. Sound familiar? Today’s velocity of life can consume and control us . . . until our breakneck pace begins to feel normal and expected. That’s where the danger lies: When we spend our lives doing things that keep us busy but don’t really matter, we sacrifice the things that do.

What if your life could be different? What if you could be certain you were living the life God called you to live―and building a legacy for those you love? If you crave a simpler life anchored by the priorities that matter most, roll up your sleeves: Simplified living requires more than just cleaning out your closets or reorganizing your desk drawer. It requires uncluttering your soul. By eradicating the stuff that leaves your spirit drained, you can stop doing what doesn’t matter―and start doing what does.

“eternity is now in session” by john ortberg
Dave & Marian Spanjers

Most of us think of eternity as something that begins after we die. However, Jesus doesn't talk about eternity that way. In fact, Jesus defines "eternal Life" only once, with great precision. This book looks at his riveting definition and the questions that flow from it: What if we stopped thinking about eternal life as something we can only experience after we die? What if we stopped thinking of Christians as people who profess beliefs about God and instead focused on becoming disciples who know God? What if salvation isn't mostly about getting you into heaven but about getting heaven into you? It's time to engage in a radical rediscovery of the Christian concept of salvation. What did Jesus teach about salvation, eternity and getting to the good place?

Passion pursuit
Britton Ramsey

A Bible Study for Women about Sex?!? Now, That's Different.

Eye popping pleasure and soul-to-soul intimacy- that's what God intended for a husband and wife to experience. But because of issues in our past, damaging information from the world, or incomplete teachings from the church, many of us don't enjoy these holy gifts.
Passion Pursuit offers a valuable and sacred journey to joy and freedom. Pursuing passion takes time, intentionality, and creativity. Through the use of Scripture, especially from the Song of Solomon, Passion Pursuit not only urges women to pursue passion but also details how God has given them permission to do so. It reveals the power a woman has to build up or to tear down her marriage and how she can deal with her husband's and her own temptations with empathy and holiness.

This daring ten-week study combines the psychological expertise of Dr. Juli Slattery, formerly of Focus on the Family, along with bestselling author and beloved Bible teacher Linda Dillow. They are from different generations but share a passion to bring God's truth and healing to women for their marriages and their lives.

Women’s Group - It’s not supposed to be this way
Kelsey Hoff

What do you do when God’s timing seems questionable, His lack of intervention hurtful, and His promises doubtful? Life often looks so very different than we hoped or expected. Some events may simply catch us off guard for a moment, but others shatter us completely. We feel disappointed and disillusioned, and we quietly start to wonder about the reality of God’s goodness.

Lysa TerKeurst understands this deeply. But she's also discovered that our disappointments can be the divine appointments our souls need to radically encounter God.

Love and respect
Larry & Sue kornovich

Excited yet burdened about male and female relationships, Dr. Emerson Eggerichs and his wife Sarah launched the Love & Respect Conferences in 1999. Based on over three decades of counseling as well as scientific and biblical research, this conference has given hope and new life to thousands of marriages over the past 17 years. It is divided into 10 sessions.                        A wife has one driving need—to feel loved. When that need is met, she is happy. A husband has one driving need—to feel respected. When that need is met, he is happy. When either of these needs isn’t met, things get crazy. Love and Respect reveals why spouses react negatively to each other, and how they can deal with such conflict quickly, easily, and biblically.             Want some peace? Want to feel close? Want to feel valued? Want to experience marriage the way God intended? Then why not try some Love and Respect.

Life Groups

LIFE GROUPS

Life Groups are essentially small groups that meet throughout the entire year while taking short breaks as needed. Life Group leaders and participants make a one year commitment to each other. These groups maintain an outward focus with the expectation to grow, produce new leaders, and multiply. Life Groups attempt to more fully involve members in each other’s lives by “doing life together.” They incorporate study, worship, prayer, fun activities and outreach into the natural rhythm of group life.

Let’s get real
Josh & anna Muzik

We were created to live in community with one another...to live in unity with Jesus, with the church, with our spouse, with our children & with one another. The gifts of marriage and parenting bring so much fulfillment and joy to life, but let's be real, they can also bring about trying times and trials. In the Bible we read "share each other's burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ" Galations 6:2 (NLT). Our goal of this group would be to bring together, with our relationships with Christ at the core, a group of married couples and parents who are willing to open up their hearts and lives in a real, authentic way, to share in the beauty and the mess of this life. We will be starting with the book "You and Me FOREVER" by Francis and Lisa Chan. Let's share our love for Jesus and grow in relationship with our Creator, our spouses, our children and with one another. Please prayerfully consider joining us!

My heart for this group is that we could be a close-knit circle of friends, who desire more than anything else, to grow in our relationship with Jesus. I will be hosting the first few months of our time together and after that I would love for us to take turns hosting our hang-outs! Our meeting days and times can be flexible depending on what works for our group. We will be using the “N.T. Wright for Everyone Bible Study Guides” as we read through the New Testament together, but some weeks if we want to go biking, have a bon fire etc, we can do that instead! Couples life group
Doug & Christi krasley

Doug & Christi are excited to open their home to build relationships while digging into the word and worshipping Jesus. We’ll start off with a study in Galatians. Paul’s project, he often says, is building-not with bricks and mortar but rather with people. He lays the foundation with the shockingly good news of one true God who raised Jesus from the dead, in order to build a new family with no divisions, all of whom can call God Father. In a world of widespread ethnic rivalry and trenchant divisiveness, Paul’s strong corrective message in Galatians demands to be heard and reheard. In these 11 studies by Tom Wright, we hear once again what remains shockingly good news.
