Request: I am looking for a roommate in Detroit Lakes. I am ending my lease with my current roommates at the end of July as one is getting married. I am looking for a younger responsible female to share a house or apartment, I have an apartment in mind (a two bedroom that would be about $500 per month per person) but don't want to commit without knowing for sure.

Request: Elderly, single female needs help with outside work. Looking to repair and repaint wooden fence and paint outside of one-story home. Request: Kathy was recently hospitalized and they found out she had an infection in her leg. They had to amputate her leg. She is in need of several small projects done around her house before she comes home from the hospital; install AC window unit, fix some of her carpet in her living room, create a wheelchair platform (possibly just from plywood) from her ramp to driveway, put gas stabilizer in her car since she's unable to use it at this time, and possibly help with a few other smaller tasks.
The Kinship Program is looking for new or used ice skates for both male and female adults and children in a variety of sizes. If you have some ice skates laying around that you no longer use contact Ashlie Seiftert at 218.847.8572 or simply drop off the skates at the Lakes Crisis & Resource Center.
Would you like to be on a list of people willing to provide rides to those that would like to attend LAVC on Sunday mornings but do not have means of transportation? Contact the front office at 218.846.1199 to let us know you're willing. When we have a request, we'll connect with you to see if you're able to fulfill that request.

Lakes Area Kinship is a mentoring program for children that improves lives by helping establish quality relationships between youth that are between the ages of 5 & 16 and caring adult volunteers for the purpose of promoting stability, support, friendship, and community. This program is for the community of Detroit Lakes and surrounding areas. The mentor and mentee spend time together at least two times per month for a couple hours. We are looking for adult volunteers to become mentors and referrals of children that would benefit from having a mentor. Mahube offers assistance to our seniors on a frequent basis. This can range from raking leaves, working on plumbing, roofing, installing a door, shoveling sidewalks, etc. If you'd like to get connected with a senior that could use some help contact Lois Greenig at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The mission of B&G Club is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.” We accomplish this by providing outstanding after school and summer programming to children between the ages of 5 and 18. Our programming is structured, meaningful, and relevant. It is designed to build self-esteem and help children develop and succeed academically, socially, and civically. Lakes Area Young Life is active in various high schools and middle schools in the area. Young Life is making a difference in kids' lives. Young Life leaders enter the world of adolescence to build relationships with them and share with them the person of Jesus.
